About Boca Festival Days: a series of fun-filled events held at different locations in the greater Boca Raton area during the month of August, when the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce (GBRCC) pairs non-profit members with for-profit members to raise funds and awareness during their event. Events usually include elements of food, drink and/or entertainment.

Several of us from Leadership decided to brave the early tee time and blistering heat for a rousing fun 18 holes at Marina Lakes in Delray Beach.

One of our colleagues, Kristen Bomas, recently had a grand re-opening celebration and ribbon cutting after relocating her offices. The event was fabulous with a very large turnout, great networking, food and drink. It was a great break after a busy work day. Here are some pictures from the event.

Media Day Revisited

Remember when we were up at the radio station and our tour guide mentioned about how much trouble they can be in for the "fleeting expletive" and that's why they have the 6 second delay?

Well, the 2nd Circuit today came down with a decision in Fox Broadcasting v. FCC holding that the FCC's fines for the "fleeting expletive" were "arbitrary" and "capricious", vacating the FCC's order. So call up your local radio or TV show and yell all the seven dirty words, but make sure you say them in passing and without planning. Or you can just do the weather . . . :)
